After Dinner Speech To The Homeless..
Tonight we made the rounds feeding the homeless dinner, we ran outta food and we had some free sandwich cards from Mc Donalds and gave them out..
While they were eating I gave them a lil pep talk
Not only do we just drive around and just hand out food and clothes. We try to talk to them like real people. Make them feel special and wanted, we encourage up lift and inspire them.. They are still human no matter what and we will always treat them like they are. Even thought every one in their lives has written them off..
As a person who was at one time broke with no hope of any money coming in. Every job let me work a few days then just decided they did not need me.. After losing my job of 21 years . Yes that is what happened to me. So I have been there.. I felt so worthless and Hopeless and thought of ending it all.. So yes I was there in these peoples shoes at one time..
This is why it is so important to me to be there and do what I have to do, for the people that were at one time in my shoes. I was lucky and eventually became the person I have today.
These people deserve the same chance. They deserve to get better and redeem themselves . We are all human and do not deserve to live on the streets.
Many shelters are dangerous and Many suffer from mental health issues and need medical attention.. But they are just pushed aside by out government , and that is wrong. Most cities care about building new buildings and getting people who can afford to live there. While the rest are pushed into the cracks and fade away..
Its sad but true and needs to be fixed.
And we try every day..
