Another Great MS Awareness Month

Another Great MS Awareness Month

I try to volunteer as much as I can for as many organizations as I can. Bike MS in 2014 was my very first event that started it all. Two years later, I started to do the Walk Events, and I was just hooked. I know of at least 10 people who suffer from MS that I grew up with in my native North Jersey. One sadly lost her fight with MS a few years back.

The MS Society gets a huge shout out for setting up these events all over the country; believe me when I tell you that it’s not easy. I have seen first hand just what goes into planning and finding the locations just to put on 1 event. Not to mention that many of the participants have MS themselves and they are getting out there walking or riding to raise money for the research to finally one day find a cure.

Many of them know they might not even be alive to see the day of a cure, but they do it for the ones after them. And that, in my book, is highly commendable.

And I am right there in the trenches with them to help them raise the funds they need. I am very happy and proud to do so every time.

Huge thanks to the MS Society for letting me volunteer, and an even bigger thanks to Gene Giblin for taking me under his wing so many years ago and teaching me what this is all about it’s been and honor sir…

Anyways, on to the next event, wherever that may be
