Chipola Family Ministries and The JRX Foundation
We met the good Reverand Jim Swafford about two weeks after Hurricane Michael, all hell was still breaking loose after the Florida Panhandle was devastated by a category 5 storm if you have been following us then you know that we sorta kinda adopted Marianna, Greenwood, and the surrounding areas and in a period of 3 years, we have been there 8 times. Bringing Food, Water, Clothes, and other assorted supplies.
On our second trip, we were just driving around and saw some people and after helping them they asked if we were going by the church I answered well I am now what’s up. They asked for a ride and I said sure then I came across the Greenwood Baptist Church. And was just simply taken back by what they have been doing after a major storm, whatever I had left went to them with a promise that I will return.
Then whenever I knew I was going to pass them I always made sure I had stuff for them…
Then come to find out that there were also tasked with rebuilding Greenwood and being a huge part of taking care of those who literally lost everything. Well, that’s when we decided that we would throw our hat into the ring and do what we can whenever we can to help.
So 2020 was kind of a bust for us and everyone else with the pandemic and other challenges facing everyone
But now we are slowly but surely getting back on our feet and started making mini runs and we had to get back to Chipola Family Ministries..
