What is Going on…
It is with great joy and sadness at the same time that I make this post.
The joy part is that in the past 3 weeks we have handed out over 100 hygiene packs in over 3 states to many of the homeless and working poor. Many people that had no means of getting the supplies they needed to help them combat the Covid19 or better known as the Coronavirus.
We still have many many more packs but the sad part is that we are unable to drive around the streets to hand them out like we were able to.
Now we are in contact with a few shelters just in case they need anything but sad to say we have to keep it local to where we are at.
But at this time we have to think of the safety of our interns and the many awesome volunteers that help us.
Not to mention myself I am cold weather asthmatic but in the past few years, my asthma has undergone a few changes. Now it all depends on the weather luckily I have my inhaler just in case. So I have to be very careful myself.
So for right now, we have to take a step back to regroup and build up our resources. So we can come back stronger than ever to get back on the road and help those who need to be helped.
So right now what the country needs now is togetherness love and hope the three things that are the fundamentals that we were founded on. We can only hope that this will not last long and we can get back to our daily operations soon.
