Hurricane Michael Aftermath Panama City… On our second trip to take care of Hurricane Michael Survivors in Marianna and Panama City we decided to show how much destruction has been done.. Many People Live in Tents and the situation is just not good. We will be back before Christmas to help the ones living in Tents in this one church Parking Lot we found our second Time Around..
Marianna I hit first and they seem well almost back to normal.. The power is mostly back but the devastation is still very very bad, FEMA has a location and is helping or attempting to help a lot of people . The staff is very friendly and awesome I had a conversation with a few. Very polite and helpful as to pointing me to the right direction..
After leaving I started heading out to Panama City and there were still line guys working on the power.. It was cold and very rainy just non stop working.. Then after going to one Church I ventured to a Baptist Church where I stumbled on their parking lot. Where over 100 were living in tents and campers.. Very Hard to See.. After dropping off Food Water and Clothes I left to do some driving around..
And what I saw was just the most horrible devastation I ever seen in my life..Words cannot explain how bad it is and that most of it is totally Unlivable.. Houses totally leveled if not leveled then condemned.. Boats and Cars thrown around like it was nothing. Whole businesses gutted and just demolished they have to be torn down and rebuilt. Whatever is operating has wood for windows glass was just completely blown out of window frames. Roofs thrown around to the next block, telephone poles ripped from the ground . You get the picture by now some parts you just can’t believe people are living there..
But Come a few days before Christmas I will be back !..
