Walk MS Bike MS 2022 South Florida
If you have been following me for a while then you know I started volunteering for the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society since 2014 I started with the Bike MS from FIU in Miami to Key Largo. It was on that day I saw things that I never experienced before.
Sure I knew a few people that had it but I just never knew what it really was until that day. I witnessed people with walkers and wheelchairs use hand pedal sit-down bikes do 75 to 100 miles a day for two days. I witnessed people give up their whole weekends to raise money and ride the course in heat, wind, and sometimes rain to help find a cure for this deadly disease.
I witness incredible people that weekend do selfless things for others, I saw people affected by it do incredible feats of athleticism and keep going no matter what the doctors tell them.
And ever since then I clear my calendar for MS Awareness month and volunteer for every walk and bike I can to the MS Society can do their thing and help these people hopefully one day find a cure.
