Hurricane Dorian Update…
As you know our main office is South Florida, and Hurricane Dorian is on the way.. No matter where he decides to hit it will be devastating for parts of Florida .
We have been doing disaster relief for over 2 years now. And the one thing we have learned is. Mother Nature is no Joke and should not be taken lightly. Now Florida is a very big state and the results can be very different for many areas. But the aftermath with be the same for all..
Massive power outages.. Days could be weeks before any power can be restored.. When will resupply happen ? South Florida basically has only one way in and one way out.. There are so many factors after the storm passes..
We were there two weeks after Hurricane Michael hit the panhandle and it was still pandemonium.. We are talking about a storm that could possibly cover the whole state.
Right now it is too early to see what is going on to even come up with a plan of action..
As many of you know we are on the road right now we had to actually go back to the panhandle and Sophie’s Haven of Hope in North Carolina. And we had to stop by my Home State of New Jersey to hand out water in Newark. As many of you know they have lead in the water supply in parts of the city.
So we will be gathering supplies up here loading them in the truck and play it by ear..
But rest assured we will be back down there to do what we do best and that is help those in need..
“With Dorian forecast to pass over extremely warm water of the Gulf Stream, where cooled, up-welled water is rapidly replaced by more warm water, you have to be concerned that a category 5 is on the table before reaching the US coast,” AccuWeather senior meteorologist Alex Sosnowski warned
