Ok after 13 hours on the road we finally arrived on the scene, it was a madhouse and well I can’t say we didn’t expect it. And the fact that we arrived just a little past lunchtime.
I gotta say as many places we go to and have been to there was no shortage of one thing. People helping people I saw groups and groups of many locals and many people from out of town like me walking around with chainsaws, rakes, and brooms going from block to block house to house checking things out making sure no one was in there and to help them clean up. And it was all very well organized it really was.
The one thing about tornadoes is they sometimes come outta the dark and mostly outta nowhere. Then they jump after taking out huge chunks of land so you will have many places spared damage. But after blocks even miles of total devastation.
Now I will say this for the record Tornadoes are still my No 1 main weather fear. I have seen the destruction they cause for years, so this is the very first time I have ever seen it up close and personal. And it is every bit on what everyone says it is.
And I am very glad we were able to help and be there.
